A wise man told me…
Three Things That Changed My Outlook:
- there is good in every situation.
- that sometimes this good will take more time to find than others and it is important to purposefully take time to meditate on it.
- that finding good in every situation is a skill to be exercised like a muscle.
Years ago, we were at a tire shop; I was waiting to get an emergency repair with money I had marked for something else. I was all wound up about having to spend money on a tire at that moment. The wise man reminded me that the tire could have failed on the freeway at top speed. Fortunately instead I noticed a noise and had it checked to discover a fault in the tire. In the safety of the tire shop. On my lunch hour.
The Cure for the Blues
To find these good things is a shift in perspective. Where-ever your focus is, that is what you notice the most. AND whatever you notice the most, and whatever you are expecting, that is what the Universe is going to send you. If you notice more good things, your mood will be improved, and you will attract more goodness.
If you find people who have this skill, keep them! Learn from them. There are people like this in my circle and I hope that there are more people like this in my future.
If you speak lack, then you will receive scarcity. So, if you speak abundance, you will receive abundance. This means to me that speaking on a vibrational level that increases what you want to receive is a high priority. KUDOS to each of you that knows this principal.
While you’re doing this, your mood is improving. Your attitude is better. In this way it is the cure for the blues.
About This Drawing
This drawing is an experiment with water soluble crayons, ink and colored pencil. I had a good time. The smooth even texture of the dissolved crayon layer is wonderful and vibrant. The downside was that very few tools would mark on top of it. The colored pencils and the water soluble crayons were a fabulous combination.
