If you have been following this blog for a while, you know Lines of Expression has always been about the sketchbook. The lines. The habits. The quiet discipline of showing up to the page.
I loved that season. I still do.
But lately, something has been shifting.
A New Season
I have been spending more time in the garden. More time in the kitchen. More time paying attention to what grows—in the soil, in my body, and in my spirit.
And I realized: my creativity does not stop at the edge of the page.
It extends into the dirt and the things that are growing in it. Into the food I prepare. Into the tea I brew from leaves growing in the garden.
So I am widening the lens.
Something is Growing Here
Lines of Expression is no longer just about what I am creating with sketchbooks or paint, or other media. It is about how I express myself in every area of life: through the food I eat, the garden I tend, and the habits that keep me connected to what matters.
You will still see sketchbook pages here. You will still see drawings! But you will also see:
- Garden updates
- Simple, clean recipes
- Tea experiments (including the one that accidentally put me to sleep)
- Reflections on what the garden teaches me about life
This is not a departure. It is an expansion.

I hope you will stay with me. And if you are new here—welcome! Have a seat. Make yourself to home; there is room for everyone at this table.
“Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?”
— Isaiah 43:19
